We work with clients to solve tough problems.
ShadowBox clients are also our partners
We work with clients from diverse domains that share one meaningful commonality: They represent industries with complex work that require mastery of tacit knowledge which isn’t easily captured in manuals or procedural checklists. ShadowBox has partnered with experts in domains such as law enforcement, military, nursing, social work, and petrochemical plant operations to deliver effective, personalized training.
Select clients include:

What people are saying about ShadowBox
“ShadowBox is a useful tool to give students experience in policing situations, while also giving them time to consider appropriate actions and gain insight from the experience of others. ShadowBox allows “training repetitions” so that when a situation is encountered in real life, the student has already been exposed to options, possible outcomes, and choices that can enhance the safety of everyone involved.”
– Major (Ret.) Michael Regan, Former Director of Training, New York State Police
“[ShadowBox] scenarios were engaging, realistic, and challenging.”
“It was interesting to hear other workers’ perspectives, ways of thinking, and approaches to case issues.”
“I enjoyed hearing different points of view and realizing there isn’t just ‘one way’ of doing things.”

Our Case Studies
Perceptual Skills Training for Student Nurses
We developed training for nursing students using a new ShadowBox feature called Expert-Eyes, which helps improve perceptual skills.
Critical Thinking in Child Welfare
We developed 23 scenarios that reflect best practices and expertise in child welfare. Our approach encourages child welfare staff to discuss the critical thinking involved in making complex decisions.
De-Escalation and Tactical Decision Making
We developed a 24-hour online course that uses scenario-based training to develop key cognitive skills for law enforcement officers.
