Emily Fine serves as the Business Manager for ShadowBox and MacroCognition, where she has primary responsibility for maintaining the finances, managing human resources and payroll processes. She also tries to keep track of the various projects and comings-and-goings of employees as they travel the globe (when there isn’t a global pandemic!). Emily also works as a Philanthropic Consultant with various nonprofit organizations across the United States. She has a BA in Business from Michigan State University, and an MA in Philanthropic Studies from Indiana University Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.
Emily spends her volunteer time with the Community Foundation for Greater New Haven on the grants review team. She has a deep passion for books and literacy and is a volunteer with Talking Books for the Blind. She also co-hosts the Book Cougars: Two Middle-Aged Women on the Hunt for a Good Read, a podcast that discusses books and biblio adventures. Emily currently lives in Guilford, Connecticut and has two grown children.
